Minutes of February 18th, 2021 Special Council Meeting
The Missouri City, Missouri, City Council held a special open meeting at the MCCA Building on Thursday, February 18th, 2021, at 5:30 pm. Attending: Mayor Barry Moore, City Clerk Monte Railey and Council members Sydney Stewart, Joe Selle and Rocky Gross. Councilman Micah Schake was unable to attend.
Mayor Moore called the meeting to order. The business of the day was to review and authorize payment of invoices related to the water project from AGC Engineering and Orr-Wyatt Streetscapes.
Six invoices from AGC Engineering received since August 2020 totaling $20,455.99 were reviewed. After discussion, Councilwoman Stewart made a motion to authorize payment. The motion was seconded by Councilman Gross and passed by a vote of 3-0.
An invoice from Orr-Wyatt Streetscapes was reviewed next. Charges of $139,745.19 minus ten percent (10%) retainage) ($13,974.52) left a balance due of $125,770.67. After discussion, Councilman Gross made a motion to authorize payment. It was seconded by Councilwoman Stewart and also passed 3-0.
Billing has not been received from Bond Counsel Sid Douglas with Gilmore & Bell.
Mayor Moore inventoried project materials delivered so far. Some pallets were shrinkwrapped in plastic but quantities appear to match. Meters and setters will not be delivered prior to installation due to their value and security concerns.
Lisa Danbury with MARC is checking if payments for AGC or materials can be paid from the CBDG Grant.
Councilwoman Stewart made a motion to adjourn that was seconded by Councilman Gross. Meeting adjourned. The next regular monthly meeting is scheduled for 7:00 pm on Monday, March 8th, 2021.
