Minutes of 9/25/23 Public Tax Levy Hearing for Missouri City, Missouri
The Missouri City, Missouri, City Council met at 6:45 pm on Monday, September 25th, 2022, at the MCCA Building for a public hearing to establish the 2023 city tax levy. Those attending: Mayor Barry Moore, Clerk Monte Railey and Council members Mickey Stewart, Joe Selle, Jan Kohl and Johanna Davis. Residents Doris Selle, Danny Bush and Brian Adcock also attended.
The State of Missouri set the tax ceiling at $.7753 per $100.00 assessment. Ordinance #2023 was read once in entirety and twice by title by Mayor Moore. Councilwoman Davis made a motion to adopt Ordinance #20.23 to set the 2023 levy at $.7753, or as modified by the Hancock Amendment Rollback Form RSMO 137.138. Councilman Stewart seconded the motion and it passed by a vote of 4-0.
Hearing adjourned. The Tax Levy Hearing was followed at 7:00 pm by the September monthly Council meeting.
