Minutes of 8/20/20 Public Tax Levy Hearing for Missouri City, Missouri
The Missouri City, Missouri, City Council met at 7:00 pm on August 20th, 2020, at the MCCA Building for a public hearing to establish the 2020 city tax levy. Those attending: Mayor Barry Moore, Clerk Monte Railey and Council members Sydney Stewart, Rockne Gross, Micah Schake and Joe Selle.
The State of Missouri set the tax ceiling at $.8128 per $100.00 assessment. Ordinance #2020 was read once in entirety and twice by title. Councilman Rockne Gross made a motion to adopt Ordinance #2020 to set the 2020 levy at $.8128, or as modified by the Hancock Amendment Rollback Form RSMO 137.138. Councilwoman Sydney Stewart seconded the motion. The motion passed by a vote of 4-0.
