Minutes of May 20, 2022 special meeting
The Missouri City, Missouri, City Council held a special meeting at 6:00 pm on Friday, May 20, 2022, at the MCCA Building. The meeting was attended by Mayor Barry Moore, City Clerk Monte Railey and Council members Mickey Stewart, Joe Selle and Rockne Gross.
Two issues were addressed:
- Fourth Ward Councilman Brian Adcock resigned his seat on May 19th due to work scheduling conflicts. Resident Johanna Davis was referred by Councilman Adcock as an at large replacement to complete his two year term. After brief discussion, Councilman Gross made a motion to appoint Mrs. Davis to the post. The motion was seconded by Councilman Stewart and carried by a 3-0 vote. Johanna Davis will be sworn in as Fourth Ward Councilwoman at the June 13th
- The Council reviewed a proposal by Webb Painting of Liberty, MO, to complete repairs and painting of City Hall. The proposal calls for a power wash, scraping of old paint, one coat of primer and two coats of Sherwin Williams Satin paint for a total cost of $16,000.00 ($14,800.00 for labor, paint and lift rental and $1,200.00 for siding repairs and caulking, the siding has already been purchased). Councilman Gross made a motion to accept the bid. The motion was seconded by Councilman Selle and passed by a 3-0 vote.
The meeting was then adjourned. The next monthly meeting is scheduled for Monday, June 13th, 2022.
