Minutes of December 13th, 2021, Council Meeting

The Missouri City, Missouri, City Council held their monthly open meeting at the MCCA Building on Monday, December 13th, 2021, at 7:00 pm.   Attending:  Mayor Barry Moore, Clerk Monte Railey, Council members Mickey Stewart, Joe Selle and Brian Adcock.   Councilman Rockne Gross was absent.

Mayor Moore called the meeting to order.   December 8th meeting minutes were read and approved.

Bills to be allowed

General Fund:

(12/1/21) The Work Zone – $185.64 outside lights for maintenance shed

(12/10/21) Missouri Employers Insurance – $1,196.00 2022 renewal

Waterworks:

(11/6/21) USPS – $120.00 postage for water bills

(11/13/21) PWSD #4 – $1,181.60 water 9/28/21-10/26/21

(12/9/210 AAA Disposal – $3,105.00 October curbside service plus three forty yard dumpsters used for Fall clean up days

Councilman Adcock made a motion to authorize payment of bills that was seconded by Councilman Stewart.  The motion passed by a vote of 3-0.

Old Business

Water Project:  Mayor Moore reported that a pre-final closing meeting will be held on Tuesday December 14th, between the Missouri City, Orr-Wyatt Streetscapes, AGC Engineering, USDA and MARC to determine tasks requiring completion prior to closing the project.  The mayor will represent the city.  After discussion, the Council agreed that unfinished grading and reseeding of grass is necessary.  The mayor reported that all parties hope to complete the project by year’s end.

Water Line Under M210:  No bids have been received for boring a new water line under Missouri Highway 210.  MODOT has tentatively approved plans for boring but is negotiating details with contractor Orr-Wyatt Streetscapes.

Recycling Water Project Scrap:  The City Clerk has been directed to create a letter stating Jason Marrant is authorized to recycle rings and lids from old meter pits on behalf of the city.

New Business

No new business was discussed.

The next monthly meeting is scheduled for Monday, January 10th, 2022, at 7:00 pm in the MCCA Building.
