Minutes of 8/19/14 Public Tax Levy Hearing by Missouri City, MO. City Council
The Missouri City, Missouri, City Council met at 6:30 pm on 8/19/14 at the MCCA Building for a public hearing to establish the 2014 city tax levy. Those attending: Mayor Barry Moore, Treasurer Lisa Webber, Water Bill Collector Brandon Gray, Clerk Monte Railey and Council members Joe Selle, Rockne Gross and, Dee Dee Adcock.
Citizens present: Wilbur Webber and Lloyd Shockley.
The state of Missouri set the tax ceiling at $.89 per $100.00 assessment, unchanged from 2013. Councilman Rockne Gross made a motion to adopt Ordinance #2014 to set the 2014 levy at $.89, or as modified by the Hancock Amendment Rollback Form RSMO 137.138. Councilwoman Dee Dee Adcock seconded the motion. The motion passed by a vote of 3-0.
Hearing adjourned.
The hearing was followed by the scheduled August Council meeting at 6:45 pm.
