Minutes of 8/20/12 Public Tax Levy Hearing by Missouri City, MO. City Council
The Missouri City, Missouri, City Council met at 7:30 pm on 8/20/12 at City hall for a public hearing to establish the 2012 city tax levy. Those attending: Mayor Pro-Tem Barry Moore, Council members Joe Selle, Janet Kaczmarek and Monte Railey.
Citizens present: John & Teresa McKown
The state of Missouri set the tax ceiling at $.89 per $100.00 assessment, which was the same as 2011. Councilman Joe Selle made a motion to adopt Ordinance #135 to set the 2012 levy at $.89. Councilman Monte Railey seconded the motion. The motion carried by a unanimous vote.
