Minutes of 8/16/16 Public Tax Levy Hearing by Missouri City, MO. City Council
The Missouri City, Missouri, City Council met at 6:00 pm on August 16th, 2016, at the MCCA Building for a public hearing to establish the 2016 city tax levy. Those attending: Mayor Barry Moore, Treasurer Lisa Webber, Clerk Monte Railey and Council members Joe Selle, Sydney Stewart, Rockne Gross and Micah Schake. Citizens Wilbur Webber and Denny Roberts and Cindy Roberts also attended.
The State of Missouri set the tax ceiling at $.8708 per $100.00 assessment. Councilwoman Sydney Stewart made a motion to adopt Ordinance #2016 to set the 2016 levy at $.8708, or as modified by the Hancock Amendment Rollback Form RSMO 137.138. Councilman Rockne Gross seconded the motion. The motion passed by a vote of 4-0.
